A day bag composition

This is my commute bag in these days.
US claymore mine bag is used as base.
This idea originates from Corso in BCUSA.

I add a thick canvas compartment
on the back for more storage space,
and keeping its shape.

Victorynox trailmaster multi-tool
is hung from the strap.
This tool get into the back pocket
at ordinary times.

I add some Velcro
to front two pockets, a keychain.

All the componets are here;
Oval canteen cup and lid
Primus oval water bottle (400ml)
Solid fuel and stove
Paracord (1m)
Two nylon pouches (for stove and purse)
Disposable lighter
Victorynox Trailmaster multi-tool
iPhone
Compass and thermometer
Photon Freedom Micro light
Notebook and pen
Leather pouch

Minimal cooking set,
included in this day bag.

An unnecessary gizmo

I have a compass and thermometer,
that were seperated from
bicycle combination lock,
made in Swiss.

I make a leather frame
that binds two measuring instruments
in their backs to each other.

To tighten the leather binding,
get it wet and dry in the sun.

Finished!
A carabiner and hemp knot
are added.

For smart phone,
it isn't a necessity.
But, I am led more.

Longing for winter camping

It keeps on hot and humid weather.
I have a craving for winter camping.
Last winter, I started the winter camping
with due formality. :)

It was possible for the canvas tent
and small wood stove
that I made.

The stove became red-hot.
It delivered heat
every nook and corner.

A friend drop around my camping site.
He felt all cozy in my tent,
as it was biting cold outside.

I served him some cooking
capelin and clam meat
with refined rice wine 'Sake'.

I became drunk.
Heat and alcohol made
a synergism.

The jack hole for stove chimney.

Its detail :
Fire prevention sheet,
Cover with Velcro,
One button

I miss winter camping...
its coldness and dryness.

Mesh pocket for canoe

A beetle that is gaudily dressed
is visiting my garden. :)
What's the name of this beetle?

I make a mesh pocket for canoe.
The stuffs that should be accessed at once,
sunglasses, sunblock etc.
put into this pocket.

Uri Shulevitz's picture book 'Dawn'
This morning is calm unusully.

Three snappers,
a zipper.
Simple and lightweight!

Typhoon alert

The typhoon is approaching north.
It struck the south coast
of Korean Peninsula aleady.
It's very windy here.

For strong wind, the heat
has let up quite a bit.
My wife and me stroll
along the valley near my house,
with two puppies.

My package :
home made possible bag
with dog lead

Puppies are in high spirits
in the wood.

We head for Peacock pass
that is the lowest point
of the ridge.

We reach our destination
with no difficulty.

Puppies badger for boiled eggs.
Only at a time this,
they are well-behaved. :)

Descending the hill,
they go play in a stream.

Mini Wannigan

I want to have a wannigan, or chuck box,
for canoe camping.
I make it with two small and worn
wine boxes.

The type of handle, banding has
me worried for somedays.
To the last, I use Velcro
and snapper.

Open the box.
There is no partition.
It's mini!

The contents of the box :
Round handle cooker,
Bowl(x3),
Kettle and mug,
Airtight container(x4)
Alcohol stove and pouch,
Nomad stove and pouch,
Frying pan,
Egg carrior,
Fire starter kit and pouch,
Transia feul bottle,
Spoon set,
Cutting sheet.

The lid of box is used for mini table.
I make a pouch for Transia alcohol stove.

I like this stove.
It has adaptability.

All systems go!
Let's hit the water.

My house suffers from floods.
I don't have the time to go trip now.
:)
