First possible bag

I have some remnant of canvas.
I want to make it into a possible bag.
So today, I have got.

This bag has compartments :
for purse, iPhone, SAK, LED flash etc.
A key holder is installed.

This bag matchs well with my Duluth Pack's
bushcraft bag.

The ornament is tibetian fox foot.
The size is somewhat large as a possible pouch.
But it will be used a commute bag too,
so it should recieve A4 size.

A shabby nessmuk's triad

Forgive me, Nessmuk.
Your triad are beyond me.

I hope you to know that the fixed knife
and double bit axe are my own making,
not order-made.

I have read interestedly
'Cache Lake Country(1947)'
written by John Rowlands.
I long for your life-style. :)

Axes rehandled

A hatchet that I made last year is compact and light.
But its pine wood handle was cracked.

I found at my backyard some juniper wood
that is well seasoned yesterday.

My mini double bit's ash wood
handle is cracked too.

Its new juniper wood handle is
more easy to control.

I'll treat color on these handles.

I also make two pouches for wood stove. :)

Camping at the lakeside

12~13th Feb,
my camping club members had met
at the side of 'Shingal' lake.

My diy tipi tent worked well over the night.
It accommodated six persons
around a wood stove.
Height and weight are satisfied too.

'Commando', a member's nick, had set
the military style camp.

'Coolfish''s dome style shelter :
it had equipped a vinyl window
and a small wood stove.

At morning, the temperature read
under -10 C degree.

My packing : a medium size alice pack
with a canvas bedroll and Fallkniven F1.

Six men had spent their holidays happily
by the lakeside.

Trackin' the snow island...

In Oriental New Year's Day holidays,
I took a backpacking trip for 'Ulleung' island, with my wife.
The island is wellknown as volcanic landscape and snow.
It geographically far 150km from the east end of mainland.

Population of this island is about 8,000.
'Dodong' is capital.
We took a bus, for north area of island.

'Cheonboo' harbor, the center of north area.
There are boats used in cuttlefish.
The mountain that stays behind is 'Songgotbong'(drill peak).

We should go to 'Nari-bungi'(volcano crater basin)
For 1:30 climbing the snowway, we've accomplished.

'Nari-bungi'... Snow piled up 1.5m above.
We lodged in native's house.

Traditional native house is named as 'Tuhmacjip'
In the early, pioneers constructed this style of house.

Traditional bamboo ski...

Traditional snow shoes is named as 'Seolpee'

We crossed the basin,
and proceeded the deepest valley.

Our footprint...
We should go down, not prepared to sleep in the open.

North-east shore road,
lonely and meditative...

Coastal land-form

We returned to Dodong,
for second day lodging.

Final schadule :
walking on Dodong coastal road.

Fire equipments :)

It is a collapsable grill that I made last summer.

Its materials are 1mm and 3mm stainless steel welding rod,
and aluminium chain.

At that time, I made a Nimble-will nomade stove.
0.6mm stainless steel sheet.
Total weight is 489g.

I also made a Vargo titanium alcohol stove's grill.
The stove touches the grill internally.
It makes up minimal cook set with swiss army oval cup,
and diy lid.

Cooking set pouches

This is my cooking set.
I made three pouches of brown itallian leather.

Another shot with a diy hatchet, and a helle viking knife.

Their contents pour out!
Big round pouch : Trangia solo cooker with alcohol stove
Small round pouch : Vargo titanium pot, steam plate, snowpeak mug, tea pouch
Retangular pouch : nimble-will nomad stove

Multi tool sheath for a friend

I've made a 3D sheath for the first time.
It's leather is picked from a old sofa. :)
At first, the leather dampen for a while.
And the shape is formed by nail.

One day later...
the shape was fixed.
I sewed it by stiching tool.

Snap button and Waist belt strap were installed.
It's finished!

Leathercraft is hard, but rewarded. :)
