Oil treatment for waterproof tarp

My home made canvas tarp is

in need of waterproofing.

I tried to treat some spray

water repellent before.

But this attempt ended in failure.
Water repellent permeated sporadically.

Yesterday, I treated 850ml linseed oil on it.

Coolfish assisted me. :)

After 20 minute work,

oilskin clothe was made.

Because spray repellent, the clothe

got spotted and stain.

I will dry up this oilskin tarp

in the open air for days.
